DR. BEN LACY, MD
Dr. Benjamin Lacy is a Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist practicing in St. Johns County and Flagler County, Florida. He is a double Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Lacy has over 10 years experience treating psychiatric disorders in multiple treatment settings including inpatient, outpatient and private practice.
He is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and Florida Psychiatric Society. He was chosen for the Ginsberg Fellowship by Group for Advancement in Psychiatry (GAP) and the was a member of the GAP psychopharmacology committee for several years following his fellowship. Dr. Lacy has served on research and ethics committees for hospitals and published peer-reviewed articles in several medical journals.
Dr. Lacy attended the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and was selected for admission into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree with Honors in 2002. He completed his internship in psychiatry at University of Texas, San Antonio. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at Tripler Army Medical Center, HI in 2006, followed by a two-year fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, where he rotated as Chief Fellow.
Areas of specialty include: patients with adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, ADD/ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. Dr. Lacy has broad experience in psychiatric medication management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. He values an open environment built on trust and respect.
